George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg are the founders of the global creative design studio Yabu Pushelberg. They met on a chance encounter years after both graduated in 1976 from the School of Interior Design at Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. The meeting led to them sharing a studio space where they discovered a commonality of philosophy and aesthetics in design, which in turn led to the inception of Yabu Pushelberg.
Since then, the duo has established client relationships with some of the biggest names in hospitality and fashion, such as Aman, Edition Hotels, Four Seasons, Park Hyatt, LVMH, Printemps, Bergdorf Goodman and Tiffany & Co. Recent interiors include Aman's first stand-alone residential project Aman Residences Tokyo, Bruno Mars's The Pinky Ring lounge and jazz bar at the Bellagio Las Vegas, the all-villa resort Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo, The Chancery Rosewood in London and The Palace Muli in Beijing. They also design furniture and lighting collections for Molteni&C, Man of Parts, B&B Italia, Glas Italia, Tribu, Salvatori and others.
