Between art and design: Galleria Luisa Delle Piane presents “Tre Primitivi” at Nomad Venezia From 5 to 8 September 2019 the “Tre Primitivi” will be on view in an exhibition coordinated by Galleria Luisa Delle Piane for the latest edition of Nomad, the traveling showcase of collectible design. Leading international galleries come together for the occasion in prestigious locations to create exhibitions of works and objects poised between design and contemporary art. This time the fair is held in the splendid setting of Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel, a Venetian Renaissance building. In its space on the masters of Italian design in dialogue with contemporary talents, Galleria Luisa Delle Piane presents a collection of exclusive furnishings specially designed by Alessandro Mendini for ALPI in 2018, at the time of the exhibition “Tre Primitivi”. Inside the company’s showroom in Milan, the exhibition featured three archaic forms – Qfwfq, Ayl and Luna & Sole – made with the ALPI veneers Pointillisme COL and Pointillisme B/N designed by Atelier Mendini in collaboration with Alex Mocika. ALPI has decided to make a limited edition of this special collection, with just three exemplars of each model, together with two artist’s proofs, to be sold exclusively by Galleria Luisa Delle Piane. This is an important collaboration for ALPI driven by the desire to move forward on the path of enhancement of the legacy of cultural research of the company. Every ALPI project is the result of continuous investigation of new realities and aesthetic values, and of the company’s intrinsic design culture. The presence of ALPI together with Galleria Luisa Delle Piane at Nomad Venezia also marks the beginning of a new exploration of even stronger affinities with the world of design and art.
