ALPI@3daysofdesign 2026
On the occasion of 3daysofdesign 2026, ALPI returns to Copenhagen and continues its design dialogue with GamFratesi by presenting “Piazza Interiore”.
Inspired by a Mediterranean sensibility and the metaphysical dimension present in the works of Giorgio de Chirico, the site-specific installation takes shape through rarefied atmospheres, sharp shadows and silent architecture. A suspended perceptual landscape, where depth and rhythm guide a slow, immersive experience, and the space takes on an almost mental dimension.
ALPI’s wooden surfaces become active fields that transform the architecture into an interior landscape. The different grain patterns expand, contract and direct the gaze, continuously altering the perception of the spaces. Light passes through the surfaces, revealing their compositional structure and creating perspective sequences and variations in intensity.
Conceived as a silent, introspective square—open and passable yet deeply contemplative—“Piazza Interiore” stems from the conviction that matter can still surprise us in its most essential form.
